CTP Claim Treatment

Evolution Medical Care is a Penrith clinic of AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioners, caring for our local community since 2010. This page is for anyone recovering from a motor accident injury under a NSW Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claim, whether that’s you, a family member helping you sort out appointments, or an insurer claims manager reviewing treatment options. If you’ve never made a CTP claim before, that’s completely normal, and we’re happy to talk you through it. Treatment under a CTP claim generally needs a referral from your GP, naming us specifically, before we can start; we’ll talk you through exactly what’s needed when you get in touch. It’s a short conversation, not a hurdle.

The CTP Recovery Session

Every appointment follows the same simple approach: your practitioner assesses how you’re moving and what’s giving you trouble, then chooses the treatment method, frequency and duration most likely to make a meaningful difference, whether that’s Acupuncture, Remedial Massage, Cupping or Trigger Point Therapy individually or in combination, and how often and for how long you’re seen, not a fixed formula applied to everyone. Motor accident injuries often show up as whiplash, soft tissue strain, muscle guarding and lingering stiffness that doesn’t resolve on its own timeline, and these hands-on techniques are well suited to working through that kind of pain and restricted movement over a course of visits. We won’t promise a particular result, but we will treat what’s actually in front of us, session by session.

• Claims made simpler. With your consent, we can provide progress updates to your insurer’s claims manager, so you’re not stuck chasing paperwork between appointments.

Your Recovery Progress Summary

CTP claims typically need periodic updates on how treatment is going, and we build that into your care rather than leaving you to organise it separately. At agreed points in your treatment, we’ll check in properly on how you’re tracking and put it in writing.

What It Includes

• Reassessment of pain and function. A fresh look at how you’re moving and what’s improved, stayed the same, or changed since your last review.
• Goals in your own words. Progress measured against things that matter to you day to day, like driving, sleeping, sitting at work or returning to sport.
• A written summary you keep. A plain-English record of your progress that’s yours to hold onto.
• Shared with your insurer, with your consent. We’ll only pass this on to your claims manager if you’ve agreed to it.
