Evolution Medical Care is a Penrith-based clinic of AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioners, offering Acupuncture, Remedial Massage, Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy and Herbal Medicine. This page is for NDIS participants themselves, for family members or carers helping to organise care, and for support coordinators or plan managers arranging services on a participant’s behalf. Many self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants use their plans for allied health supports like ours: both plan management types let you choose any provider, registered or not. If your plan is NDIA-managed (agency-managed), that category requires a registered provider, which isn’t something we can offer, so it’s worth checking your plan management type before getting in touch.

The NDIS Session

Every appointment follows the same simple approach, however it’s funded. Our practitioners assess what’s going on and choose the treatment method, frequency and duration most likely to make a meaningful difference, drawing on Acupuncture, Remedial Massage, Cupping and Trigger Point Therapy, rather than working to a fixed formula. For some participants that means ongoing management of chronic pain or muscle tension. For others it’s support with mobility, stiffness or general comfort that affects day-to-day activities. Needs vary a lot from person to person, including around sensory sensitivity and communication, so we take the time to understand what matters for each individual before deciding on an approach, and how often and for how long they’re seen.

What Makes It Different

  • Pain-focused care. We prioritise what’s causing discomfort or limiting movement, rather than running a generic routine.
  • More time, more support. Appointments aren’t rushed, so there’s room to talk through what’s changed since your last visit.
  • Tailored beyond the session. Where it helps, we’ll suggest simple things to do between appointments, matched to what’s realistic for you.
  • Continuity of care. Where possible, you’ll see the same practitioner over time, so care builds on what’s already been learned about you.
  • A fast safety net. If something flares up between scheduled appointments, we make room to see you sooner rather than making you wait.
  • Working with your support team. With your consent, we’re happy to liaise with a support coordinator or plan manager, and to adjust how we communicate to suit your needs.

Progress Summaries for Plan Reviews

NDIS plans are reviewed periodically, and it helps to walk into that conversation with a clear picture of how your allied health supports are going. With your consent, we can put together a written summary of your care to use in your own plan review conversations, whether you’re preparing it yourself or handing it to a support coordinator or plan manager.

What It Includes

  • A reassessment. A look at how things are tracking since care began or since your last review.
  • Your goals, in your own words. What you’re aiming for, recorded the way you’d describe it, not clinical shorthand.
  • A written summary you keep. Yours to share with your support coordinator, plan manager or the NDIA if needed.
  • Practical notes. A plain-language note on what’s helped so far and what we’d suggest continuing.
